5 Solo Sonatas, Op.1, vol.1 – G.F.Handel

Handel's recorder and transverse flute sonatas have enjoyed great popularity among players for almost 300 years now.

We are now editing them as duets for alto and tenor recorder in two volumes.

We have transposed some of them to make all sonatas playable with the alto recorder as solo instrument.

Our first volume comprises the numbers: 1b, 2, 4, 5 and 7.

It is rumored that Handel produced some of the solo sonatas as teaching material for his basso continuo lessons.
