The Thomaskantor Georg Rhau published the collection "Bicinia gallica, latina, germanica" in 1545. Here, two-part chants by his contemporaries were united, which, according to Rhau, "are also very convenient for all instruments".
The "Agnus Dei" by Josquin Desprez can be performed with alto and tenor recorder, or with two tenor recorders.
The playalong for this bicinium is an attempt to combine Josquin Desprez's music with modernity.
