„Cinque stelle“ is a duet for two treble recorder players.
The challenge was to compete with the great duet compositions by G.Ph.Telemann
and W.F.Bach. The result was this music, that explores the tonal Possibilities of
virtuoso contrapuntal duet playing.
You may characterize it in a way - concerning its form and sound - as „neobaroque“
with some stilistic add-ons, such as the impressionist moment in the third
movement („La Ripetenda“). Within the five movements the musical ideas are often
