Duets for 2 Treble Recorders
Item num.: es10001
by Georg Friedrich Händel
Georg Friedrich Händel
instrumentation: 2 treble recorders
Arranging music was a common practice in the baroque era, be it to express someone's appreciation towards a particular composition, be it that works had been transcribed e.g. for two instruments to offer popular compositions to a a wide circle of music amateurs for making music at home. John Walsh (1665-1736) was on the go in this field. We owe him many editions for chamber music.
Following this tradition I've manufactured famous Arias and pieces from Opera and Oratorio for two treble recorders.
These arrangements have their origin in the performance practice and shall serve „denen Liebhabern zur Gemüths Ergoetzung“.
