Item num.: es00231
by Georg Philipp Telemann
Georg Philipp Telemann
Instrumentation: treble recorder, flute, 2 violins, violoncello
The witty „Ouverture à la Polonaise“, first movement of the „Ouverture burlesque“, which was originally conceived for harpsichord solo in d minor, has been adapted in this version for quintette. Here, the upper parts alternate with each other, often in pairs. The sequence of musical sections is in contrast to the conventional sequence fast-slow-fast.
