    As an arranger it is a special pleasure when you discover musical pieces, in which composers have slipped into the role of the musical arranger. In 1716 Georg Philipp Telemann published his „Kleine Cammermusic, bestehend aus VI Partien, welche vor die Violine, Flûte traverse, wie auch vors Clavier besonders aber vor die Hautbois nach einer leichten singenden Art also dass sich so wohl ein Anfänger darinnen üben als auch ein Virtuose darmit hören lassen kann“.

    This was probably such a success that he didn‘t only publish a second edition in 1728, but reworked the partitas in Suites for Orchestra. He left the upper voice and the bass and added middle voices. At the beginning of each suite he set an overture in the French style. Because of the popularity of the „Kleine Kammermusk (Little Chambermusic)“ I decided to arrange one of these ochestral suites for recorder quartet.
